One day I’d like to gyaff about Creedence. Just yesterday, toodling down the road in my tiny car, I was thinking CCR (that’s what the Japanese call them) are pretty darn fine driving music.

Best with the book.

I can go on forever about music I love, Jack. I can’t think of one song by CCR that I don’t like. I’ve read that Through the grapevine isn’t theirs but what they’ve done with it, oh man, that song can last for miles, I won’t mind.

Oh Miss Neena. Tho we both love CCR, you must immediately get ahold of the original Grapevine sung by Mr Marvin Gaye. You will never ever again listen to CCR on that song.

I do not know why CCR thought it needed to recreate such a platinum masterpiece. It’s like if a talented band today decided they needed to re-record Bohemian Rhapsody. No matter how well they technically fared, you would always wonder why they thought that needed to be done.

If I could recommend an album (I’m old and all about actual albums rather than single songs) get either Willy & The Poor Boys or Green River—both by CCR. You will find no song on either to be a disappointment. You will play them to no end front to back.

Wow! Jack! I’m listening to Marvin Gaye’s Grapevine. Chills and goosebumps. I see what you mean about CCR’s cover…it doesn’t have the mood, the heartbreak and soul. Thank you for taking the time to tell me.

I will find the other 2 songs and listen later.
