Helliiiiieeoooo!! What you doing today? Ready for a li’l Creolese?
Aaaah! You ketch me at this table chillaxing. I know, I know, I should be at the machine cranking out hundreds o’ words on Substack.
Come, man, come nah, sit down here and lime…hang out…with me. Take this thali, lemme full-up each li’l bowl with something delicious for you.
Daal, roti, potatoes and peas curry, rice, squash and shrimps.
Want to try oil and rice?
How about some pepper sauce on that?
If you don’t feel like going local, look here, have some Japanese food. (I think I gon have tofu for lunch.)
While you filling up, this is what I been up to:
WRITING!
Yes, m’dear, I been getting back into me book-writing routine, and I feel delirious, happy like a chappy creating hit tunes. Writing-routine is bliss for me, is like the pianist, guitarist, artist, gymnast, runner, singer, practising every day.
Without me routine, words can’t.
Words can’t muscle up. Words can’t run. Words can’t paint. Can’t sing. Can’t play music or dance.
I need this routine to help me dive into the hearts of people, dig into the past, imagine the future.
Now, is lunch-time for Ma and me, so I better skeedaddle to the fridge.
Please dig into the food (links) that I just share above:
Oil and rice with hot pepper or some Japanese food, serve-up by darlin’ Jack (really good writer) on Frog’s Glen.
Have a lovely two weeks ‘til next time. Remember to take good care of you. Eat well and dance up li’l bit. Plenty luuuuv, neena.
Neena…now I want some biryani! Haha. Good for you getting back to your routine - it’s something I struggle with a lot.
